Rachel grew up in the Pacific Northwest frequenting independent coffee shops, climbing trees and acting in shows around town from a young age.  She came out east to New York to study acting at Marymount Manhattan College and in her third year, went abroad and completed the full year acting program at the British American Drama Academy. Rachel then came back to the States to complete her program at Marymount.  After graduating Rachel went on to continue acting on stage in local and regional shows.  She then completed a two year Meisner training program at The Neighborhood Playhouse. It wasn't until more recently (having been a bit of a stage purist) that she appeared in her first film. Rachel discovered that she loved working in this medium, as well as stage, and has since gone on to actively pursue both in addition to episodic and commercial work. She currently performs a one woman and two person show at The Anne Frank Center For Mutual Respect, (see more at annefrank.com). Ms. Neiheisel lives with her precocious cat Junebug in Brooklyn, NY.
